Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
