The Miami Heat scored 86 opening half scores versus the Grizzlies
Miami Heat claimed a crushing 146-114 win against the Grizzlies in their initial NBA game after guard Terry Rozier was arrested over alleged illegal sports betting.
Portland Trail Blazers coach Billups was additionally arrested as part of a broad federal probe into illegal gambling. The two individuals deny the allegations.
But, the Heat were focused as they scored 86 first-half points to lead Memphis by thirty-nine at halftime, the largest halftime lead in the team's 37-year existence.

League Commissioner Adam Silver 'Disturbed' over Recent Events
Addressing the detentions for the initial occasion, league head Adam Silver said he was "very upset" by the events of the recent days.
"Nothing is more critical to the NBA and its fans than the integrity of the competition," he told Amazon Prime. "And so I felt uneasy. It was very upsetting."
The commissioner also mentioned an NBA investigation into the player's actions in spring 2023, when there was "aberrational betting" in a match he participated for the Hornets against the Pelicans, discovered no wrongdoing.
"We were informed by the authorities and the betting companies," he added.
"We then looked into that situation and were open regarding it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, frankly, couldn't find anything.
"The federal government has subpoena power... [it] can threaten to put people in jail, can do all kinds of things that the league office can't do.
"So, we've been cooperating from that point. And, of course, what they revealed recently was an charge.
"And 30 months after, he still hasn't been convicted of any offense, in justice to Terry.
"Clearly, it doesn't look good, but he's been suspended, and so it is a compromise here between protecting people's rights and investigating."

Greek player Antetokounmpo also had a strong performance with thirty-one scores, 20 rebounds and seven assists in the Milwaukee Bucks' 122-116 victory at the Raptors.
Rockets were defeated 115-111 by the Detroit Pistons even with thirty-seven points from Kevin Durant, while Wembanyama had twenty-nine scores, 11 rebounds and 9 blocks in the San Antonio Spurs' extra-time victory against the Pelicans.
