Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
